I’m having an 8×10 shed put in in a few days. Roughly, what would a typical electrician charge if I wanted to add a basic set of outdoor flood lights (w/ a switch as well), 1 outside outlet and 1 inside outlet?

Shed will be about 80-100 feet from the circuit box… if that makes any difference.

The shed will mainly be used for storage. Outlets are for a stereo (inside) and the outside one will be used for basic lights and toys, etc. No big power tools. Breaker is 220.

Nothing controlled from the house.

What might this cost if I hired an electrician?

I am an electrician in Kansas. There is a lot of different conditions that could make a price for a job like this more expensive. I will tell you what i would charge and materials i would use.I would use 12/2 UF cable, so it could be buried directly in the ground with now conduit,A 20 amp breaker, for your breaker panel, 2-PVC LB’s, 3 ft. 1/2 PVC, for coming out of the ground into your shed and house, 1 connector, for your house panel, 1 round plastic box, for your outside light, 1 waterproof box, for your outside outlet, 1 GFI recpt., for outside, 1-set of flood lights, 1 plastic single gang box for the inside outlet and 1 15 amp receptacle(outlet). the total cost with labor…..no more than $250.00
    Good luck

for myself. I’d go solar, using 12volt lighting , car radio, and anything within your immagination, it works for me, and my shed is sligthly large, and I have garden lamps also on that system
